Stephanie received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of South Florida in Tampa . She has been working in the field of Speech pathology since 1995. She began her career in the Hillsborough County schools as a speech pathology assistant and after three years working under supervision, decided to pursuer her Masters Degree with a focus on literacy development in the language impaired population. While working towards her Masters Degree, she worked full time in the Language Impaired classroom in a collaborative setting with other teachers, therapists, and professionals. This setting allowed her to use her training in literacy and vocabulary development with young school aged children. She completed internships during the summers at Easter Seals and Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Both as a mom and as a professional, she is highly motivated by seeing children make gains in speech and language and achieving their goals academically and personally. She sees working with families and teachers as a big part of her job and fundamental component to the therapeutic process. She came on board with Children's Choice for Therapy in November 2004.
