Ingrid received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of South Florida in Tampa . She completed her externship at Bay Pines VA Hospital and a thriving private practice, primarily working with the pediatric and elementary population. After her externship, she completed part of her clinical fellowship year at two local elementary schools in Hillsborough County . Part of her experience included working as the SLP in a Language Learning Impaired (LLD) in an inclusion classroom with 3 rd -5 th grade student, along side the Special Education teacher. The remaining part of her CFY year included working as a resource SLP with students pre-k (Early Exceptionalities Learning Program – EELP) to fifth grade.
Ingrid is First a dedicated wife and mother. As a speech therapist, she enjoys working primarily with the early intervention population, as well as preschoolers and early elementary students. Ingrid is an avid reader and loves to learn. She has an open attitude towards learning and currently, she is thoroughly enjoying extending her current experience, skills and knowledge as a therapist to include working with children within the autism spectrum disorder. Her areas of interest include early language development, vocabulary development and early literacy development.
She uses this knowledge to greatly benefit her clients. She came on board with Children's Choice for Therapy in August 2008.
